Account & Data Deletion

EduSmartz has no public sign-up: every account (staff, student, or parent/guardian) is created and managed by your school’s administrators as part of enrolment or hiring. Because of this, account and data deletion is handled through your school, with EduSmartz support available directly as well.

The fastest way to delete your account is to ask your school’s administrator (front office / principal’s office) to remove or deactivate it in EduSmartz. This is also how accounts are normally removed when a student or staff member leaves the school.

You can also email us directly and we will process your request, coordinating with your school where the records belong to them:

Please include:

• Your full name and the school you (or your child) are enrolled at / employed by.
• Your login ID or the email/phone number linked to your account.
• Whether you want your entire account deleted, or specific data removed (e.g. a message, a photo).

We verify the request against school records before acting on it, and process deletion requests within 30 days.

• Your profile details (name, contact info, photo), login credentials, and device push-notification token.
• In-app notifications and messages tied to your account.
• Any data for which you were the only linked user (e.g. a parent/guardian account with no other students attached).

Some school records — such as attendance history, exam results, and fee records — are official academic records that schools are generally required to retain for regulatory, audit, or transcript purposes even after a student leaves. Where full deletion isn’t legally permitted, we will remove or anonymise personally identifying details wherever possible instead of deleting the underlying academic record outright, and will explain what was retained and why.
